Hi!
Welcome back to the new Colour Creations Blog Hop. It's Crumb Cake week! Crumb Cake is a very popular colour from the Neutrals colour family.
I loved this colour combo from the moment that I spotted it. Brian King is on a winner again! I decided that it would look super cute with the caravan from the Tree Lot Dies.
I wanted a bit of texture in the Pool Party layer, so it was my new Whimsical Woodland 3DEF to the rescue. Have you spotted it in the Mini Catalogue? I hadn't noticed it until some of the AWH ladies started using it in our Heart Of Christmas blog hops of a Monday night.
The caravan dies layer up so well! I snipped the tyre and the stabiliser pole thingy away from the Crumb Cake layer, and added a Basic Black layer underneath. It was very easy to line up. The door was fussy cut from a Real Red die cut - I only popped a small piece of cardstock under the die, as I didn't need a whole red caravan. A quick swipe of my Basic Black marker emphasised the door handle.
I made a second caravan in exactly the same way for the inside of my card. And there's my new Let's Celebrate stamp set for the sentiments - I did say that I really loved it!
That's all from me for tonight, but please do continue your way around our Blog Hop. The next taste of Crumb Cake yumminess is from my wonderful friend, Andrea Sargent. You won't want to miss her visual feast!
If you run into any issues, the fabulous Catherine Proctor is the lady who keeps us all in line. Jump on over to her blog, where you'll find a list of all tonight's hoppers.
Bye for now,
Tina
Love the colour combination, love the font on the sentiment and love your caravan with the door handle highlighted! The Whimsical Woodland 3DEF adds the perfect touch of texture.
ReplyDeleteA delightful card Tina. Your colour combo is certainly a winner. Your little caravan is composed beautifully, both inside and out (of the card that is - not the caravan) and the addition of the Whimsical Woodland 3D EF is perfect. Xxx
ReplyDeleteThis is adorable Tina - gorgeous colour combo and perfectly matches the caravan style. This reminds me of circus colours, but could also easily be adapted to a Christmas card with just a sprig of holly. It's wonderful!
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely card Tina and as always Brian is on the money. What a perfect card for any kind of celebration and can easily be adapted.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, this is adorable, Tina! I almost used the caravan dies for this week's blog hop ... so cute. I love all the "bits", and the balance of colour, on your card.
ReplyDeleteThis is totally adorable, Tina. That caravan looks amazing in those colours and I love the background embossing and DSP choice. I hadn't thought to use a marker to highlight the handle of the caravan, very nifty!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are right Tina, the colour palette is fantastic. One of my favourites at Christmas actually. I love your caravan and doesn't that embossing folder look perfect as a backdrop to it.
