An Easel Card Just For You

Hi!

Even though Sale-A-Bration has finished now, I still have a couple of cards to show you, so I'm going to blog them this week.  Today's card uses the Wildflower Fields DSP and the Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum.

It's a sweet little card, just 4 inches or so square. The vellum is attached to a square of Old Olive, just to help it pop a little more.

The flowers were stamped in Calypso Coral, a colour I selected from the list of colours used in the Wildflower Fields DSP.

Another little cluster of flowers serves the purpose of both decoration and to hold the card open.

JAI #305: Just Add A Sketch

Hi!

How are you on this lovely Friday? Hopefully you haven't been taken for an April fool! There's no fooling around at Just Add Ink this week - it's a sketch challenge and it's one of my designs.

What do you think? The Design Team have done a great job with the sketch this week.  Here's my take on it.

I thought that the tall panels were perfectly suited for the tall flowers in the Flowering Fields stamp set. I stamped them in Black Stazon and then coloured them using my Stampin' Write Markers.

I used this card as a class sample. Some of my ladies also coloured the background DSP, which is the coordinating Wildflower Fields. I took a photo, I just need to get it off my phone!

Flowering Fields In Honey

Hi!

It's nearly the end of Sale-A-Bration for another year. What's been your favourite SAB choice? Flowering Fields has been popular among my customers this year.I think it's the gorgeous Australian Wildflowers. Today's card features this stamp set, and was the most liked of my card class cards this month.

I chose Hello Honey as the main colour from the card after a comment from one of my class ladies that she liked the colour. After that, the wattle flower was the logical choice to use for the main panel.

We stamped the image with Basic Black and them coloured it with Hello Honey and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers.

I deliberately left the card without a sentiment so that it can be used for a wide range of occasions.

I hope you've had a fabulous Easter weekend. I've had a lovely few days with family, so today is going to be about me - some crafting time is just what I need!

Just For You in Wildflower Fields

Hi!

Last week I told you about my crafting day where I managed to get three cards done for last Friday's class. I didn't want to show you the cards before the class because I like to surprise my ladies with them.  Well, the class has been and gone, so now I can show you.

Today's card uses two Sale-A-Bration products - the Botanicals For You stamp set and the Wildflower Fields DSP.  While they are not designed to be coordinating, they still work beautifully together.

I think Botanicals For You is one of my favourite SAB products this year. I really love the big bold 'Just For You' stamp. You can either use it on it's own, or use the smaller floral stamps in the set to jazz it up.

My Blackberry Bliss Inkpad is still very juicy, so my image came out a little 'bubbly'. I decided to go over the top with my clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush. It helped to even out the colour a bit, and had the added bonus of making the sentiment glittery. It's very hard to photograph though! Just a hint - the Wink Of Stella brush will pick up some of the colour, so make sure you give it a quick wipe off before you use it over another colour.

I rarely throw a DSP offcut away, unless it is really tiny.  In this case, it was a great way to finish off the inside of the card.
