Hi!
Sometimes I see a card somewhere that I really like and I end up CASEing it exactly. Other times I see a card, set out to CASE it exactly and it ends up looking very little like the original card. This is one of those types of cards.
The card that inspired this card is from page 33 of the Annual Catalogue. You can still see some elements of the original - the pierced circle, the Polka Dot strip. After that it's quite different.
I really love the Happy Day stamp set. I really should use it more!
Stamps: Happy Day
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
DSP/Cardstock: Polka Dot Parade DSP, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White
Other: Big Shot, Adorning Accents Edgelit, Paper Piercing Mat and Tool, Essentials Paper Piercing Pack, Candy Dots, Dimensionals
Bye for now,
Tina

A Timeless Birthday Card
Hi!
Today I have for you a birthday card I made using some of the new Edgelits in the Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue. I love how much elegance they can add to a card.
I used the Edgelits to create a lovely edge on the DSP and cardstock. I also used a matching embossing folder to emboss the base cardstock. Here's a closer look.
Just a hint: you need to emboss the base cardstock BEFORE you adhere the layers. It won't fit through your Big Shot if you adhere the layers first. I discovered this the hard way, but fortunately I didn't break my Big Shot! Aren't the pearls a lovely little touch to highlight the embossing?
I also used one of the new Framelits as a panel for the sentiment and some Basic Black satin ribbon to finish it off.
Gotta do the inside too!
Stamps: Happiest Birthday Wishes (hostess)
Ink: Island Indigo, Versamark
DSP/Cardstock: Timeless Portrait DSP, Basic Black, Island Indigo, Whisper White
Other: Big Shot, Framelits, Edgelits, Adorning Accents Embossing Folders, Basic Jewels Pearls, Basic Black Satin Ribbon, Dimensionals, Silver Embossing Powder

Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue Blog Hop
Hi!
Welcome back to another blog hop. This month my friends and I are concentrating on the new products in the Autumn-Winter Mini Catalogue. You can view a copy of the catalogue online by clicking on the picture of the catalogue in my sidebar.
You may have hopped to my blog from the talented Amanda Hill's blog. It doesn't really matter where you start, just keep on hoppin' 'til you get back to where you started. You're bound to find lots of creative inspiration to feast your eyes on!
I have two cards for your viewing pleasure today. The first was made using some of the new products for the Big Shot - Framelits and Edgelits. They are fantastic, wafer thin dies that open up a whole lot of new possibilities for papercrafting.
It's little tricky to see, but I have embossed the Whisper Whiter layer with the coordinating Adorning Accents Embossing Folder. The framelit acts beautifully as a feature panel.
A scrap of the Pocketful of Posies DSP left over from the front and a piece of Baker's Twine finish off the inside of the card.
I made the second card after viewing a video on Bee Divine Designs on water colouring with markers and a blender pen. I love the control it gives, so I think I'll be using this technique a lot more in the future. I used the gorgeous new stamp set, Bordering On Romance. It's such a pretty set, and perfect for colouring. I also used some of the new Twitterpated DSP which coordinates beautifully with the Bordering On Romance stamp set.
Here's a closer look at the water colouring. Did you notice the seam binding? I coloured some Very Vanilla ribbon with my Island Indigo reinker to achieve this look.
I finished this card the same way as the first, with the addition of another water coloured bunch of flowers. it was my 'practice run' and I didn't want to waste the effort!
