A Pretty CASE

Hi!

Today I have another card made with my carer's support group.  I CASEd it from this card.

The group enjoyed making this card. Some of them played around with the layout, placing the circles in different places.  They were very imaginative!

We had to do this inside of course!

Stamps: For Everything, Happiest Birthday Wishes (hostess)
Ink: Melon Mambo
Cardstock: Melon Mambo, Pretty In Pink, Whisper White
Other: Circle Punches. Dimensionals

Bye for now,

For Everything

Hi!

I haven't had time to play along with the Inkspirations challenges for a while, but the latest colour combination is so cute I just had to give it a go.

I love the dusty blue that is Marina Mist and the cheerful Daffodil Delight.  Here's the card I came up with:

Stamps: For Everything, Whimsical Words (2010 SAB)
Ink: Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist
Card Stock: Pretty In Pink, Whisper White, Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight
Other: Stamp Positioner, Blender Pen, White Brads, Pretty In Pink 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon

My First ATC

Hi!

I don't have a card to show you today.  Instead I have the very first Artist Trading Card I ever made.  I actually made it a little while ago for a swap I was in which had a paper piecing theme.  I only had the Greenhouse Gala DSP at the time, so that's what I used.

I was so glad when I saw the For Everything stamp set in the new catalogue.  It was a set I loved and I was glad to be able to use it for at least another 12 months.  I stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Chip and then coloured it with my Real Red marker.  It was just too fiddly to paper piece the sentiment, especially as I had to make 8 ATCs for the swap.  The butterflies, bird and flower are all paper pieced though.

Stamps: For Everything
Ink: Chocolate Chip Inkpad and Stampin' Write Marker, Real Red Stampin' Write Marker.
DSP/Card Stock: Greenhouse Gala DSP, Chocolate Chip, Read Red, Whisper White
Other: Paper Snips, Stamp Positioner

For Everything in Pear Pizzazz

Hi!

I thought I'd try out the sketch challenge at Unscripted Sketches.  I hadn't ever seen their blog before, but my friend Gardenia has just joined their DT, so I wandered over to take a look.  Here's their current sketch:

And here's my card.  I used the new Hostess DSP pack as the basis of the card.  I love that Stampin' Up! have used the new In Colours for this paper, and the patterns they have used this year are super cute.

I've also used the new Organza ribbon - which is just lovely!

Stamps: For Everything
Ink: Concord Crush, Pear Pizzazz
DSP/ Card Stock: In Colour DSP Pack (Hostess), Concord Crush, Whisper White
Other: 5/8" Whisper White Organza Ribbon, Stamp Positioner

For Everything in Bright Bolds

Hi!

I was very busy preparing for the Art With Heart Blog Hop, but now that it's (almost) over I've got back into some challenge cards. The first one I decided to try was Stampin' Royalty Challenge #8. This time the challenge was a colour challenge:

Wow! After my Soft Subtles Easter projects this colour combo was pretty full on. Then I thought to myself that it would only be full on if I used heaps of every colour. If I picked one main colour and used the others as accents it wouldn't be so bad. Here's what I came up with:

Now I have 2 confessions to make: I cheated a little and used Whisper White cardstock because the only ink I have in the colours was Summer Sun and it wouldn't really show up on anything except white. I also used YoYo Yellow cardstock instead of Summer Sun. That was an 'oops' that I didn't notice until I was packing up and realised I hadn't opened my Earth Elements card stock. Oh well...

Card Stock: Green Galore, YoYo Yellow, Only Orange, Pixie Pink, Whisper White
Stamps: For Everything
Ink: Summer Sun, Basic Black
Other: Chit Chat Rub Ons, Scallop Border Punch, Dimensionals

Mojo Monday #126

Hi!

Last night I decided to have a got at the sketch challenge over at Mojo Monday.

I often check out Gardenia's blog, A Little Less Useless. Lately she's been doing some paper pieced cards and she's inspired me to have a go too. Go on over and check out her blog - she's got a free pass to the next UStamp with Dawn up for grabs!

For this card I pieced the flower from For Everything using the current Hostess DSP for the leaves and some Regal Rose card stock for the flower, which I also raised using Dimensionals.

Card stock/paper: Rose Red, Regal Rose, Very Vanilla, Hostess Patterns Pack II DSP
Stamps: For Everything, Happy Moments
Ink: Stazon, Basic Black, Garden Green, Rose Red
Punches: Scallop Circle, Scallop Edge, 1 1/2" Circle (non SU), 1 1/4" Circle
Other: Very Vanilla 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, Blender Pen, Dimensionals

Stamp A Memory Challenge #3

Hi!

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, Claire Daly set Stamp A Memory Challenge #3 as a love theme. I had been wanting to do a layout about my husband for a while, so this seemed the perfect opportunity. The prize, most appropriately, is a heart shaped punch.

Here's my layout:

This layout took a few days to put together for various reasons. I wanted it to be secret until I was finished, so I had limited time to do it. I was also waiting for my SAB order to come in, and the Crystal Effects on the chipboard word 'you' needed to dry. I just scraped into the challenge deadline by 12 hours. Phew!

I coloured the words I, love and you so that at first glance that's what the title seems to be. I wrote the ten reasons I love my husband in each of the curly label punchies. The box at the bottom right took a bit of time as each line of text is from a different stamp. Thank heavens for stamp positioners - I wouldn't have been able to do this layout without mine. The text reads: for everything you do (For Everything ss) i'm ever grateful (2 different stamps in the So Many Sayings ss).

Card stock: Old Olive textured card from the Petal Party Simply Scrappin' kit, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Rose Red
Stamps: Jumbo Outline Alphabet, Cute and Curly, For Everything, Yummy (retired), So Many Sayings (retired)
Ink: Basic Black, Rose Red, Always Artichoke
Other: Very Vanilla Ribbon, Curly Label Punch, Stamp Positioner, Scrapware chipboard letters.
