Perfectly Artistic Large Numbers

Hi!

As you can probably tell from the blog post heading, today's card features the Perfectly Artistic DSP.

I really like that the DSP has two different patterns - a marbled look and a water colour look. On this card I used the Melon Mambo water colour pattern. I love that it has subtle (and not so subtle in places) variations in colour.

I've paired it with some Newsprint DSP, which I've stamped on using the flower stamps from the Number Of Years stamp set. Stamping on DSP gives a great effect, I really should do it more often!

Here on the inside is the only thing I'd change about this card. I think I stamped the 'Happy' and 'Birthday' too far apart.  What do you think?

Tap Tap Tap To Say Thanks

I found this card in my 'To Blog' folder on my computer and realised I was yet to post it on my blog. I made it quite a while ago, so it was probably about time I shared it.

The typewriter was stamped in Momento and coloured with my Blendabilities. I also used my Silver Marker to colour some of the metal bits on the image. I deliberately used a quick, messy style of colouring, as I think it suits the image.

I love the 'tap tap tap' stamp for finishing off the inside of the card.

Just Believe Sympathy

I really don't like making sympathy cards.  Thankfully I don't often have to make them for myself, but on occasion I am commissioned to make one.  Today's card was one of the latter.  I really like using Just Believe for sympathy cards.  I think the large floral stamp has a very quiet, understated elegance, especially when stamped in Regal colours.

This is a favourite colour combination of mine: Very Vanilla, Garden Green and Concord Crush.  I coloured the stamp with my markers and stamped it on Newsprint DSP (now retired).  I then spritzed over the top with my Colour Spritzer and Crumb Cake marker.

A nice, simple inside to compliment the outside,
