Hi!
Sob! it's Sunday, which means the school holidays are over, but ti also means it's time for this week's CASEing The Catty Sunday Challenge Blog Hop. Yay! You may have arrived here from Siobhan's blog, or just starting here. It really doesn't matter, just keep hopping 'til you get back to where you started.
This week we are CASEing layouts from the Occasions Catalogue. What does this mean? Simply take a card you like and make a new one based on the placement of all of the elements on the card. Easy!
I decided to CASE the front of the catalogue, treating it like a big card.
I started by using my Stamparatus to create the wreath of flowers on the base. It was a little tricky, as I stamped the Bike Ride image six times (because there are 6 cards on the cover!), but I got it first go! I only used the Stamparatus to stamp the outline, and then the flowers and leaves were stamped by hand.
The punched flowers were created using the Bitty Blooms Punch pack, but I also threw in a few leaves stamped with a leaf from Happy Birthday Gorgeous. After I'd assembled the card I added a scattering of copper sequins to represent the butterflies on the cover.
It wasn't until I was editing these photos that I realised how vintage the colour scheme is. I used Grapefruit Grove, Pear Pizzazz and Soft Suede. I think nearly every kitchen had crockery or bakeware in these colours in the 70's!
I couldn't resist adding another little flower on the inside!
Hopefully I'll see you over in our Facebook group, where you can add your CASEd Layout card to the challenge.
Before you go, though, don't forget to complete the hop! Next up is the lovely Julia.

CTC #223: Classic Garage
Hi!
Yay! It's just three more sleeps until I fly out for Auckland and Stampin' Up!'s OnStage event, and it's starting to get really exciting! I can't wait to see all my demo friends and to get the goss on all the new SU stuff being released. In the meantime though, it's time for the new CASEing the Catty Sunday Challenge Blog Hop. You may ave arrived here from Sandra's blog, or be starting here - it doesn't matter, just keep hopping until you've seen everyone's blog.
This week we are CASEing projects from the Classic Garage section of the Occasions Catalogue. I have really enjoyed making cards using the Classic Garage DSP, but this time I decided to go the complete opposite direction.
I started with the layout of the grey card above, but pulled out my Petal Promenade DSP to make it as girly as possible. Do you think I've succeeded?
You can see how I've kept everything as much the same as I can in terms of the layout and elements, I've just swapped for very feminine alternatives. The rose paper that forms the larger banner was distressed around the edges, scrunched and then smoothed to create some texture and dimension. The smaller banner already looked scrunched, so it was just adhered as is!
I stamped the flowers from Bike Ride in Sahara Sand, stamped off once, around the Stitched Labels die cut. The flowers in the Label Me Pretty image were stamped in Tranquil Tide and then coloured with my Blushing Bride marker. I had to be careful to not colour over the TT lines, as this would pull the colour into the BB and make it look muddy.
Before you do, don't forget to finish the hop! Michelle's blog is next.
Bye for now,
Tina

A strip of that gorgeous rose DSP was used to finish off the inside. It's such pretty paper - it reminds me of a bridal bouquet.

A Bike Ride Through The Highland Heather
Hi!
Time for the new Colour Creations Blog Share!
This week it's Highland Heather's turn. It's another new purple in the range. It's lighter than Gorgeous Grape, which we featured a few weeks ago, and they work wonderfully together.
My first thought was to use the purple to stamp a bike. I haven't used my Bike Ride stamp set much, so this was a good excuse. While I was stamping with a set I hadn't used much, I decided to use a few more from that same category - Handwritten and Pick A Pennant.
To make the pennant I first stamped the banner, stamping it off on some scrap paper first. I then stamped the letters over the top. I hand cut the banner because I haven't got the coordinating framelits. I found I had to snip right up between the sections on the 'birthday' banner so that I could bend it enough to fit on my card.
How cute is that little birdie? He's from the Pick A Pennant stamp set too. I couldn't resist adding him onto both the front and inside of the card.
Catherine is hosting this week's Colour Creations Blog Share as usual. You can pop on over to her blog to see the rest of this week's cards.

JAI #415: Just Add Inspiration
Hi!
Woo hoo for Friday - one more week until the school holidays, and I can't wait!
This week for our challenge at Just Add Ink Rachael has given us an Inspiration photo to guide us.
Isn't it pretty? It makes me think of being in Europe....
Even though I've just purchased the Bike Ride bundle, I didn't want to add a bike to my card. That meant I really had to think about what I wanted to do instead. In the end, I decided to go with the white wall, the basket and the flowers.
The basket and flower stamps are both from the Bike Ride stamp set. I used my Stamparatus to create the mirror image of the flowers so that I could have a bunch hanging over each side of the basket. It's such a cool technique - you should give it a go!
It's hard to see in this photo, but I used the new Subtle embossing folder to emboss the front of the card. Have you noticed it in the catalogue? It turns the cardstock from plain to textured in a few turns of the Big Shot handle. So easy!
LOL, in the end I decided to sneak the bike onto the card! It was a bit hard to resist.
What inspires you in the picture we've used for this week's challenge? You can see what the rest of the Design Team have done over at the Just Add Ink. Once you've made your card, link it up so we can all enjoy your creativity!

JAI #413: Just Add Colour
Hi!
Welcome to the new Just Add Ink challenge. This week Di has given us this very cool Colour Combo to work with.
I think this one is lots of fun! It includes the new core colour, Granny Apple Green. Don't have it yet? Easy - substitute a different green. Maybe Old Olive or Pear Pizzazz? As long as it's a similar colour, it's still OK.
I purchased the Bike Ride bundle just before the end of the last Annual Catalogue. I'd been on the fence about the bundle all year, and when it carried over I decided to take the plunge. It's such a fun set, that was perfect for these fun colours.
How cute is that dog, popped up on the back of the bike, looking very happy with himself?
So cute that I decided to pop another dog on the inside!
You can head on over to the Just Add Ink blog to see the gorgeous cards that the rest of the Design Team have created. You can also link up your creation - can't wait to see it!
