JAI 791: Just Add Christmas In July

 Hi!

Hello, and thanks for joining me for the new Just Add Ink challenge. Before we get into it, I wanted to sidetrack for a little moment.

Did you know that Just Add Ink ran a scrapbooking challenge for a time? It was actually how I joined the team 14 and a half years ago, as a member of the Scrapping DT. Here's my first DT submission, if you're interested! I was also allowed to play along with the main DT, and I took full advantage. Eventually the scrap challenges ended, and I officially switched over to the main DT.

All this to say that I have decided that it's time for me to step down from the Just Add Ink Design Team.

I've had a wonderful time, but life, and new hobbies, are pulling me in different directions and taking more of my time. I figure it's best to leave on a high, while I still love card making and being on the DT.

So this is my final DT post, and I'll use it to say a huge thank you, both to my DT friends, and to those of you that participate in our challenges. You're all so amazingly creative, and I have loved seeing what has been made over the years. The JAI community is fabulous!

And now, on with the show! This fortnight Kim has challenged us to Just Add Christmas In July to our cards. I don't usually start my Christmas cards this early, but I always regret that around November!

I pulled out two of my all time favourite Christmas sets (I'm not much into traditional stuff!) for the challenge. I started with the Christmas sentiment from More Wishes. I do love a big, bold statement sentiment!

I then stamped one of the penguins from Penguin Place. It's fun to mix and match all of the elements in the set to create a fun, Christmassy penguin. I finished by stamping the 'merry' part of the sentiment and the stars.

I gave my penguin a little friend on the inside of my card. It's always nice to finish off the inside with something special.

Thanks once again for joining me on my final challenge for Just Add Ink. I had a lot of fun making my card, and I hope you do too. I can't wait to see what you create!

Bye for now,

Tina

CTC 461: Lighter Than Air Colours

 Hi!

Thanks for joining me on a Monday for the CASEing The Catty Sunday Challenge Blog Hop. That's right, we are hopping a day late due to so many of the team having been to Melbourne for Stampin' Up!'s OnStage event over the weekend. They needed an extra day to recover, LOL!

This week we are asking you to CASE the colours from the Lighter Than Air DSP. It's a lovely set of soft, pastel colours to choose from.  I looked at which colour I used least, which was Bubble Bath, and built my card from there.

I didn't choose a card from the suite to CASE, I just used Bubble Bath, Pool Party and Lemon Lolly (another colour that I haven't used much) to do my own thing.

I used Sending Smiles for the flowers, and More Wishes for the sentiment. The circle die is from Everyday Details Dies, and the embossing folder is Layered Florals. A little piece of Lemon Lolly twine from the three pack that coordinates with the DSP finished off the front nicely.

Some more flowers, and sentiments from Biggest Wish finished off the inside. I adore how the sentiments from Biggest Wish and More Wishes can be mixed and matched!

We'd love to see what you do with the colours from the Lighter Than Air DSP. Will you CASE a card from the Catalogue, or go your own way, as I have? Just take a photo of your card and add it to our Facebook Group.

The next stop along the way is the lovely Monique Fielder, who has made a very clover and gorgeous card for you to see!

CTC 456: SAB Catalogue

 Hi!

Thanks for joining me for the new CASEing The Catty Sunday Challenge Blog Hop. This week we have returned to the Sale-A-Bration Catalogue for inspiration.

It's a little catalogue, but it's jam packed with fabulous projects for you to CASE.

I picked this cute Jungle Pals card from page 12. I loved the three strips that are all the same, but different.

I just received an order with some new products, so I was keen to play with them. The birds on the Flight & Airy DSP worked perfectly on my modified version of the sketch. I cut a smaller version of the strips and layered them om some Whisper White card, popped up over a Boho Blue Layered Flowers embossed card base.

I glued a pice of the bird DSP on some Whisper White cardstock, and then fussy cut to once dry. It was then popped up over the strips of DSP. The sentiment is from More Wishes, and was cropped with a Nested Essentials Die.

Some more birds were used to finish off the inside of the card. Aren't they pretty!

We'd love for you to play along with us by CASEing a card from the Sale-A-Bration Catalogue and uploading a picture to our Facebook group. We'd love to see what you make.

Please continue making your way around our Blog Hop. The next stop is the lovely Peta Stephen, who has created a gorgeous card - you won't want to miss it.

Colour Creations: Parakeet Party

 Hi!

Thanks for joining us for the new Colour Creations Blog Hop. This week it's Parakeet Party's time to shine. It's a bold, bright green that sits in the 2022-2024 In Colour Family - which means that it's only around until the end of the current Annual Catalogue.

I decided to go simple with my card, and let the black polka dots do all the work. I used my Dots & Spots die to crop the dots into the Parakeet Party layer, and then backed it with a slightly larger Basic Black layer. I popped it all on a Parakeet Party card base.

Now, the trick was how to add a sentiment. I played around with my Biggest Wish stamp set and some scraps of Whisper White card, and settled on this quick and easy arrangement. I wouldn't usually have a banner floating on a card, but I'm totally loving this look! Perhaps the black dots help to anchor it?

I also used the companion stamp set, More Wishes on the inside of my card. It's carried over from the previous Mini Catalogue (yay!), and is perfect to mix and match with Biggest Wish.

That's all from me tonight, but please do make your way around all of the blogs in tonight's hop. The next stop is the lovely Kate Morgan, who always blows me away with her creativity.

As always, if you run into issues with any of the links, just pop on over to Cathy Proctor's blog. She'll have a list of all of tonight's participants to help get you back on track. Isn't she a gem?

Bye for now,

Tina

Heart Of Christmas Week 9

 Hi!

Welcome to Week 9 of the Heart Of Christmas Blog Hops. I was a bit lacking in inspiration when I made my cards, so I once again looked to the Sheetload Of Cards templates to give me a boost. I chose to use the February 2022 sketch, as I thought that it was the one that suited my new stamp set the best.

More Wishes was near the top of my must-have list when I first saw the new Mini Catalogue. I love the two different fonts, although I've only used one on my card this time. I also love that the words in the stamp set can be mixed and matched.

I also love that it coordinates perfectly with Biggest Wish - but do you expect any different from Stampin' Up!? In this case, the word 'happy' was borrowed from Biggest Wish to make my sentiment for the inside of the card.

I made two cards again this week, to help boost my stash. The DSP is Beary Christmas, my favourite of this year's offerings. I also pulled out my Silver Metallic Enamel Effects. I just dotted it a few times on the front of each card.

That's all from me for tonight, but please keep making your way around all of the blogs. The next stop along the way is my lovely friend, Christine Blain.

As ever, the wonderful Sharon Davern keeps us all organised, so if you run into any issues with links, just pop on over to her blog. She'll have a list of all participants to help get you back on track.

Bye for now,
