Hi!
Did you enjoy last week's Just Add Ink Blog Hop? I hope you were able to complete the Hop and see all of the gorgeous Design Team projects.
We are back this week with a Colour Challenge suggested by Kim.
I really enjoyed making my card for this week's challenge, even though it was quite time consuming to stamp.
I used the Mosaic Madness stamp to create the background panel for my card. I was a bit naughty and just eyeballed the placement of the images -I probably should have used my Stamp-A-Ma-Jig but I really couldn't be bothered. I just used the 4 mosaic stamps and the 4 colours and stamped away.
I eyeballed the stamps on the bottom of the main panel too. I lined up the blues ok, but I was a bit off with the Sahara Sand. Oh well!
I tried using the larger mosaic stamps on the inside but it didn't look right, so I ended up using the straight stamp again, which didn't look too bad.
I hope you can find time to play along with us this week over at Just Add Ink.
Bye for now,
Tina

Work Of Art Sunflower
Hi!
It seems a little strange to be posting something on a Friday that isn't a Just Add Ink challenge. The Design Team are having a well-earned break and will return later in the month, but I'm just getting back into the swing of regular blogging and I didn't want to stop the momentum. So today I have for you a card I made as a RAK for a friend. What's a RAK? It's a Random Act of Kindness - a card out of the blue for no reason at all other than to let someone know you are thinking of them. Guaranteed to put a smile on the recipient's face!
This was the first card I made when I received my Work Of Art stamp set. I've seen cards like this around the 'net heaps, so I can't remember which specific one I CASEd unfortunately.
I really love the effect of the 'halo' around the centre of the flower. Not quite sure how I managed that, but hey, I think it's great!
I used the Hostess set Hello There to create another, far smaller sunflower on the inside. I had someone in mind when I made this card who loves sunflowers so it was really a no-brainer to include as many as I could on the card!
By the way, she loved the card.
Bye for now,
Tina

JAI #169: Just Add Inspiration
Hi!
It's the end of a rather wet week in Adelaide, and therefore time for another Just Add Ink challenge.
This week Delys has challenged us to use this picture to inspire our projects.
Isn't it a great picture? The Design Team have come up with lots of different ways to interpret it. After a few failed attempts at getting the colour gradient effect with a brayer I abandoned the idea and instead went with some simple colour blocking.
I tried to go with the layers of colour in the top half of the photo. I used Pool Party, Calypso Coral and Island Indigo. As you can see I framed the sentiment in the bold black.
It's probably a bit hard to see in the photo, but the whole colour blocked panel is raised up from the base card, where I stamped the sentiment. It's a great way to give a bit more emphasis to the sentiment.
Stamps: Feel Goods
Ink: Island Indigo
Cardstock: Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Island Indigo, Basic Black, Whisper White
Other: Big Shot, Window Frames Framelits, Dimensionals
How will this picture inspire you? See you over at Just Add Ink!

JAI #167: Just Add Fabric!
Hi!
I'm certainly back into this swing of things with my blogging this week, and how about we round off the week with another Just Add Ink challenge? Perfect!
This week I chose the theme and it's fabric! Yes, we want you to add some fabric to your projects. Please note that it must be fabric and not ribbon. I used the Summer Smooches Fabric on my project.
This piece of fabric is such a cheerful, happy print and I have beenhoarding it saving it for a special project. I decided it was time to cut into it.
You can see here I used a narrow strip of the coordinating fabric to make a ruffle for the front. I also used some of the Canvas Creations sheet to make a label for the front. I love the textured look it gives to the stamped sentiment.
Did you notice that my project wasn't actually a card? It's a little notebook, and it's been something that I've been wanting to try for a couple of months now. You see, I made the WHOLE thing from scratch! I cut the papers, bound them using needle and thread and then created the cover to go around them. I thoroughly enjoyed making it, and I can see myself making lots more in the future.
One final photo of the inside of the note book. I used some of the matching Summer Smooches DSP for my end pages. The actual pages are from my stash and are plain white for ease of writing on.
Stamps: Feel Goods
Ink: Real Red
DSP: Summer Smooches DSP
Other: Summer Smooches Fabric, Canvas Creations, Crystal Effects, Sewing Machine, Chipboard
What do you think you'll make for the Just Add Ink challenge this week? Can't wait to see it.
Have a great day,
Tina

This card was commissioned by my mother-in-law to give to a couple in the family who had just announced they were expecting their first baby. As gender was obviously unknown at that point I had to go with a fairly neutral colour theme. I decided to use bright colours as I think they capture the excitement of a first baby.
