I decided to use the Tutti Frutti Cards and Envelopes to make a mini album for my Blog Hop project. I used 4 of the cards (one of each pattern) and 5 envelopes. You get 4 each of the 4 cards and envelopes, so there was still plenty left over from the set after I made my album. I also used another Sale-A- Bration item on the front of the album - the Celebrate You Thinlit dies - to cut the word celebrate.

This is the first page. The checked paper is from the inside of one of the envelopes. The right side page is formed from the Lemon Lime Twist card. I scored a line 1 1/2 inches from the bottom and folded it up to make a pocket.

I've followed a bit of a theme in decorating the album, using hearts in a circle on many of my pages as a decorative element.

The small blue dotty flaps on this page were made using another of the card bases. I cut a 2 inch section off to use as a page, and then used the rest of the card to make the tags for the LLT page pockets.

I used a retired Circle die to cut a scalloped circle from the Daffodil Delight card base. I edged the left side of the page with some doily offcuts I had floating around on my craft desk.

This middle page is the only page that doesn't use one of the Tutti Frutti Cards or Envelopes. It's a piece from the Tutti Frutti DSP pack. After I cut all my pages to size, I layered them and then used my sewing machine to stitch all of the layers together along the spine.

It was a lot of fun mixing and matching the patterns and colours for each of the pages.

The ribbons were a fun little touch to the pages to add to some of the pages. A lot of them I stapled to the page and covered with a circle/heart combo, but this Night Of Navy Seam Binding was threaded through a hole in the page.

I'm not sure yet how I'll use this album, but it will likely be for a birthday. I have kept all of the offcuts so that I can add more decoration to the photos once they are in place.

Well, that's it from me for now. I hope you enjoyed looking at my Mini Album. I can't wait to finish it with some photos. Now you're off to the blog of the lovely Monika O'Neill.

Sharing Sweet Thoughts in Tutti Frutti Lime

Hi!

Today I have a fun card for you that I made for one of my classes last month. It's such a fun, sweet card - I think it was one of my favourite class cards for January.

The new Tutti Frutti DSP has a mix of fun, colourful, fruity designs, with plainer patterns on the reverse side.

I added some Basic Black ladybirds to the sentiment, and then I decided to add some 'hidden' ladybirds too.

LOL, I couldn't resist adding a few more to the inside too. I kept thinking of ants at a picnic, but decided I'd rather have ladybirds than ants!

Bubble Over For A 50th Birthday

Hi!

Just after Christmas one of Rob's mates turned 50. An important birthday requires an important card, and Rob knew he was a home brewer of beer, so I decided to put the Bubble Over bundle to good use to make a beer themed card.

Can you tell which brand of beer inspired this card? LOL.

I die cut the two different sized labels from the Bottles and Bubbles Framelits set, and then added a punched star from a retired punch set. The largest labels and the bottle tops are both cut from Silver Foil paper.

The DSP I used on the front was repeated on the inside. The Real Red piece is from the Tutti Frutti pack and the Lemon Lime Twist piece is from the Sale-A-Bration pack called Bubbles and Fizz. It's the perfect accompaniment to the Bubble Over suite!

CASEing The Catty #160

Hi!

EDIT: I was so excited to be awarded the Crew Pick for this card! Thanks to the CTC Crew!

Often when the school year kicks into full gear I have way less free time on my hands. So over the summer break I try to enter a few challenges. Today's card is for CASEing The Catty Challenge #160, which is to CASE a card from pages 4-9 of the new Occasions Catalogue. I also had two team members celebrating their first anniversaries with Stamping' Up!, so I thought I'd kill two birds by using the challenge as a launch point for making them a card each.

The card that caught my eye was the card on the left on page 7 - the front of the roller coaster card. I don't have that bundle, it was more the layout of the card that inspired me. I also had a few panels of card that I'd used embossing paste with the could stencil on that were laying around on my desk ready to use. Bonus!

I loved the layering of ribbons on the front, so I did the same on this card. I have a bad habit of buying the sequin trim and not using it as it's too pretty to cut into. Sound familiar? This was a great time to bust it open, as I wanted these cards to be special for my team girls. I also blinged up the die cut sentiment by running my Wink Of Stella pen over the top. Instant shimmer!

Thanks for checking in with my blog. I'm off to look for some other challenges to participate in before the summer holidays are over and life turns crazy again!

Bye for now,

Tina

JAI #391: Just Choose Two

Hi!

Can you believe that this is our last challenge for the year? I guess all good things must end - but not for long, as we will be back in 2018 with a heap of fun weekly challenges.

This time around Kim has set our challenge, and it's to Just Choose Two. These have been popular challenges this year at Just Add Ink.

OK, I will admit that I'm a little over making Christmas cards by this time of year, so when Alex got invited to his best mate's 16th birthday, I was more than happy to create a teen boy's birthday card.

scissorspapercard, Stampin' Up!, Just Add Ink, Tutti-Frutti DSP, Epic Celebrations, Milestone Moments

There's quite a few sneak peeks on this card. The DSP is from the new Tutti-Frutti suite. It's such a fun, colourful suite, but I love that the DSP has some not-so-bold patterns too.

scissorspapercard, Stampin' Up!, Just Add Ink, Tutti-Frutti DSP, Epic Celebrations, Milestone Moments

It's difficult to see in the photo, but the twine is also new. It's silver and white twisted together, and it's very cool. Finally, the stamps are from a new Sale-A-Bration set called Epic Celebrations - absolutely perfect for those hard to make teen cards. If you have teens in your life, you'll definitely be wanting this set!

scissorspapercard, Stampin' Up!, Just Add Ink, Tutti-Frutti DSP, Epic Celebrations, Milestone Moments

I've used another stamp from the set on the inside. The birthday boy is musical, so I went for the two stamps in the set that related to music.

As this is the last Just Add Ink challenge for the year, you have two weeks to get your entry in. The linky list will close on the 3rd Jan. If you're like me, the few days after Christmas when everyone else is playing with their new toys is a great time to get some stamping in!

This will be my last blog post for the year, so thanks for taking the time to stop by during 2017, and I look forward to sharing more of my cards and scrapping with you next year. Merry Christmas and a fabulous New Year to you all!

Bye for now,

Tina
