Farewell Baby Tees Jumbo Wheel

Hi!

Today's card is a bit of a Hello, Goodbye card.  I've combined the retiring Baby Tees Jumbo Wheel with the brand new Blendabilities Alcohol Markers.  I'm so in love with these markers!  I've even started stamping images and taking them in my handbag so I can colour while I'm waiting in between appointments.  It's very addictive!

This card was another commissioned card, the request being a card for someone expecting a baby girl.  I used the Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral sets of Markers to colour the onesies.  I left the front of the card without a sentiment as I thought that it didn't really need one. Also because I couldn't think of how to get one on there without it looking a bit strange!

Here's a closer look at my colouring.  I love how you can get the depth of shading with the markers.  On these onesies I used the darkest marker around the edge of the image and shaded lighter as I got closer to the centre of the image.A bit harder on the polka dot onesie, but I think I did ok!

I rolled the whole strip of onesies and coloured most of them.  I didn't want to waste any of my hard work so I fussy cut the last one and used it on the inside.  On this image I placed the darkest colour on the left hand side of the image and shaded lighter as I moved right.  Does that make sense?

It's quite difficult to achieve the look on sections that are so small!  I really loved how it turned out, and I hope the recipient loves it too.

A bit of a whoops that I've made this post about Blendabilities rather than saying goodbye to Baby Tees.  Oh well!

Bye for now,

Tina

Baby Tees Hatches Card

Hi!

A couple of months ago I ran a Hatches, Matches and Dispatches class.  Today's card is the Hatches card from that class.

I chose Daffodil Delight as a great gender-neutral colour.  It's also bright and cheery, perfect for celebrating a new arrival.

We used the Paper Piercing Tool and Templates to add an extra feature around the circle layer.

Another little onsie finishes off the inside.

Stamps: Baby Tees Jumbo Wheel, Sweet Essentials
Ink: Early Espresso
DSP/Cardstock: Polka Dot Parade DSP, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Other: Scallop Border Punch, 2 1/2" Circle Punch, Paper Piercing Tool and Mat, Essentials Paper Piercing Template, Paper Snips, Dimensionals

A Baby Card

Hi!

A couple of weeks ago I posted a little series of cards all based on the same design. You can see the previous post here.  Today I have the last of the cards for you. This card was a commissioned card, made to be given to a couple to congratulate them on the news that they were to become great grandparents.

You can see the changes I made to this one - I used one of the Apothecary Accents Framelits instead of an oval. The main panel is matted by cutting two more labels and cutting them in pieces to be able to extend the shape outwards. A fantastic trick when your Framelits aren't nesting like the ovals.

I rolled the Baby Tees wheel in the background and then stamped the sentiment over the top. I stamped it off once first to reduce the intensity of the colour, which is Island Indigo.

Love, love, love the All In The Family stamp set for making cards like these easy to personalise a little more.

Stamps: Sassy Salutations, All In The Family, Baby Tees Jumbo Wheel
Ink: So Saffron, Island Indigo
DSP/Cardstock: Tea For Two DSP, So Saffron,  Very Vanilla
Other: Big Shot, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Primrose Petals Stitched Satin Ribbon, Paper Snips, Dimensionals

Bye for now,

Just Add Ink #132: Just Add A Sketch

Hi!

This week Mae has designed a fantastic sketch to inspire us all for the current Just Add Ink challenge.

There are so many ways to interpret this sketch, and the design team have come up with some wonderful cards.  Here's mine!

This card was actually a commission, and I decided to kill two birds by using the sketch as the basis for the card.  I was asked to make a trendy card for a new baby.

Here's a closer look at the main image.  I didn't want to hide the flags under a solid panel, so I decided to use a window sheet instead.  The image from the Baby Tee's wheel is watercoloured and the whole panel is popped up on some Dimensionals.

I used a second watercoloured image from the Baby Tee's wheel on the inside.

How are you going to interpret this week's sketch?  I hope you can find time to play along with us at Just Add Ink.

Stamps: Baby Tee's Jumbo Wheel, A Word For You
Ink: Pretty In Pink, Rose Red, So Saffron, Perfect Plum, Certainly Celery, Crumb Cake, Black Stazon

Other: Whisper White Satin Ribbon (retiring), White Baker's Twine, Window Sheet, Paper Snips, Dimensionals, Blender Pen, 1" Square Punch

Baby Tee's Watercoloured

Hi!

I am so loving watercolouring right now!  I made this card recently for a friend needing a card to go with a gift for a new baby girl.

I used the Nursery Nest DSP on the card and coloured using the coordinating colours.  I love the look you get with watercolouring.  The effects you can achieve are just beautiful.

The inside of the card used a scrap of DSP left over from the front of the card.  During May's Paper Party you could get the Nursery Nest DSP FREE!  Click here to see the details of the promotion.  I'd love to take your order if you don't already have a demonstrator.

Stamps: Baby Tee's Jumbo Wheel, A Word For You
Ink: Black Stazon, Pear Pizzazz, Perfect Plum, Marina Mist, Basic Gray, Blushing Bride
DSP/Cardstock: Watercolour Paper, Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride, Whisper White
Other: Blushing Bride Stitched Poly Ribbon, Whisper White Baker's Twine, Scallop Border Punch, Blender Pen

Baby Tees in Blue

Hi!

Today's card was one I was asked to make by a friend.  She needed a card to give to parents who had just had a baby boy.  I had just received my Baby Tee's Jumbo Stampin' Around wheel, so it was perfect timing all round!

I used the new Nursery Nest DSP for the card.  The Marina Mist and Pear Pizzazz stripes are super cute for a baby boy card.

I stamped the Baby Tees image twice, and coloured and cut out the second image to pop on dimensionals over the first image.

I used a 'spare' baby tee to dress up the inside of the card.

Stamps: Baby Tees Jumbo Stampin' Around wheel, A Word For You
Ink: Marina Mist, So Saffron
DSP/Cardstock: Nursery Nest DSP, Marina Mist, Whisper White
Other: Big Shot, Timeless Type Alphabet Dies, Marina Mist Satin Ribbon, Blender Pen, Paper Snips, Dimensionals

Catch you later,

Tina
