Hi!
Have you ever wanted to give watercolouring a go but have been put off by how difficult it seems? It's really not that difficult, but this technique makes it super easy to do!
Isn't the flower gorgeous? I darkened the Watermelon Wonder a little using Photoshop so that you could see the variation in colour in the flower.
I think the technique is called Watercolour Splash. To get the look you simply heat emboss your image using White Embossing powder onto Watercolour Paper. Then you take your Aqua Painter and brush a fair bit of water over the areas you want to colour (no ink used yet!). Then you use the Aqua Painter to pick up some ink from the lid of your inkpad and simply dip the tip of the brush into the water you brushed over the image. It's like magic watching the ink spread through the water! If you want parts of the image to be darker just add a little more ink. I did the petals in Watermelon Wonder first and then waited for it to dry before doing the centre of the flower in Daffodil Delight and Crumb Cake.
So there you have it - watercolouring is really not that hard. Why don't you give it a go?
Bye for now,
Tina

A Blendies RAK
Hi!
A little while ago I participated in a weekend cybercrop. It was fun to create all weekend and participate in some challenges while in my PJ's. Part of the fun was getting to bond over the internet with team members in all parts of Australia. One of the challenges we were set was to create a card and send it to another team member.
I had a Blended Bloom image coloured with the Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities sitting on my desk, so I decided it was the perfect time to turn it into a card. Also sitting on my desk was the new Dots and Stripes Decorative Masks, so I decided to make use of the Dots mask too.
I sponged over the mask with some retired Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint. I really like the streaky look it achieved.
I was pleased to find out that the recipient had been having a bad week and that the card really cheered her up. I was glad I selected her when I heard that!

Hello New Annual Catalogue!
Hi!
How exciting - Stampin' Up!'s new 2014-15 Annual Catalogue went live today. One of the perks of being a Demonstrator is that we get access to some of the new stuff a month early. One of my favourite new products is the Blendabilities Markers.
This was my first attempt at colouring. We were given the Calypso Coral Markers and Blended Bloom stamp at Convention and I couldn't wait to get home and get colouring. My only trouble was that I didn't have the required Momento Ink pad. No worries - I heat embossed the image in black embossing powder and I was set!
I paired the flower with the leaves from Kinda Eclectic and the now-retired Modern Medley DSP. A great combination, I think!
I've been doing lots more colouring with the Blendabilities - now I just need to make some cards to put the gorgeous blooms on!
