Hi!
Welcome to the final Colour Creations Blog Share for 2018. We are having a little break over the Christmas/New Year period, but we'll be back on January 8 with the next colour in our series. It's one of my favourites!
This wee, though, we are looking at the new Neutral, Merry Merlot. It's not a colour I've used much of - probably because my old high school uniform was maroon. I finished high school 25 years ago, so you'd think I'd be over it by now but apparently not! I did enjoy using it on my card though, so maybe I'm on my way to liking maroon.
I tried and rejected all kinds of things until this card rose from the debris on my craft desk. Most of it was playing around with Stitched Rectangle dies, which are so much fun! I also used the new stamp set, Incredible Like You, available in January. Oh, and don't forget the Tin Tile 3DTIEF on the Sahara Sand layer - it's carrying over to the Occasions Catalogue, so we get it for at least a few more months. Yay!
I'm still deciding if I like the flowers from the stamp set. They are pretty, and I love the way the two layers work together, but I find the flower to be a bit 'floaty'. I anchored this one by adding a Mint Macaron twine bow to the base.
I used another flower and some more leaves on the inside. A couple of the leaves were stamped direct to the base cardstock and a few were fussy cut and layered underneath the flower. It adds a bit more dimension to the arrangement.
You can find the rest of this weeks cards over Catherine's blog. It's a small group on the Blog Share today, but still worth the look as everyone is so creative. Don't forget that we return on the 8th of January.
Bye for now,
Tina

A Bloomin' Hearts CASE
Hi!
Today is the last day to grab a bargain in the Online Extravaganza - have you had a look yet? Today's card uses one of the products that is discounted by 30%, the Bloomin' Heart Thinlit Dies. I also used the coordinating stamp set Bloomin' Love.
The card is actually a CASE of this card made by Valerie Moody, a member of Stampin' Up!'s Artisan Design Team. I loved the white on white elegance of Valerie's card.
The Real Red heart was stamped with the heart from Bloomin' Love before being cropped with the Sweetheart punch, The little birdie comes from the Tree Builder punch.
I'm not usually one for lovey-dovey cards, but it can be handy to have a few in your stash for the odd occasion that you need one.

JAI #290: Just Add Colour
Hi!
Oops, where did that week go? They are rolling past very quickly at this time of year! But, on to the new Just Add Ink challenge - a colour combo suggested by Jan.
Isn't it pretty? There's a part of me that sees green with pink in a colour combo and automatically thinks flowers. One day I will resist that urge, but this time I went with it!
I only recently purchased the Garden In Bloom stamp set, but it's fast becoming a favourite, especially the cute little buzzy bee. The stem that comes with the set it straight, but as the stamps are photopolymer it's easy to gently bend the stamp into a curved shape.
The bees were fussy cut and popped up on the front of the card.
I hope you've got time to join us this week at Just Add Ink. It's such a busy time of year!

JAI #282: Just Add Inspiration
Hi!
It's school holidays here and I've had a lovely week home with my children. The older two got a bit of a taste of freedom/independence on Wednesday when I allowed them to walk to our local library on their own. It's about a 10 minute walk along a main road so I was hoping it was fairly low risk. Three and a half hours later they returned, happy after an afternoon spent playing Lego and Minecraft and browsing the bookshelves. One relieved mummy here!
Anyway, on with today's Just Add Ink challenge. This week Narelle has put together a gorgeous inspiration photo board for you.
Isn't it fabulous? There's so much you could do with these pictures!
I decided to go with the pot of flowers sitting on top of the books on the chair in the right side picture. I stamped the leaves from Sprinkles of Life first so that I'd get a few leaves sticking out the sides of the flowers. A few tiny pearls complete the flowers.
The background DSP is one of the Silver sheets from the Neutrals Stack. Did you know that instead of Whisper White and Very Vanilla the Neutrals Stack has Silver and Gold? Such a great idea!
I had a few extra flowers left over from the front of the card so I added them to the inside to finish it off. I hate waste!
The rest of the Design Team have come up with some fabulous cards for this week's challenge. You can see them over on the Just Add Ink blog. We hope you can join in the fun this week.
