Hi!
Hello, and welcome to Pear Pizzazz week of the Colour Creations blog hops. Pear Pizzazz is in the Subtle Family collection and is a bit of a so-so green. I don't love it, but I don't hate it, either.
I decided to pull out my Plentiful Plants bundle to play with, and to use some of the plant stamps that hadn't seen ink yet. I paired it with Sweet Strawberry for the sentiments and the Stitched Greenery Die for the background.
I actually created the inside of the card before I'd finished the front. In hindsight, I wish I'd stamped the Brian May plant again on the Whisper White base, as I did on the front, to extend the height of the plant. Next time!
Speaking of next, the next stop in our Blog Hop belongs to Michele Taylor. Jump on over to her blog to see what is sure to be a fabulous card.
And don't forget that Cathy Proctor is here to save the day if you run into any problems. She's got a list of all participants in case of an emergency 😉
Bye for now,
Tina
Tina, snap on the stitched greenery die – all that white really makes the Pear Pizzazz the hero of your card. Pear Pizzazz is the perfect colour for your String of Pearls Succulent plant (Senecio rowleyanus) AKA "the Brian May" plant for ever more!
ReplyDeleteA "so-so green", Tina?! LOL. It's one of my faves! I really like the fresh, crisp look of all the white with Pear Pizzazz on your card. The Stitched Greenery background is a lovely choice for showcasing the stamped detail on your plant.
ReplyDeleteSo love your card Tina. Love its simplicity with the die embossed stitched greenery background, the die cut strip of Pear Pizazz, the stitched circle and the delightful potted plant (both inside and out) All gorgeous. Xxx
ReplyDeleteSuch a clean crisp card Tina that makes Pear Pizzazz shine. The Brian May comparison will stay with me too…lol.
ReplyDeleteHaha The Brian May card! Love it. As always Tina you are the master of the monochromatic card and again another lovely example of it.
ReplyDeleteA lovely clean and simple design with lots of stitched details Tina. I love all the white space! No surprise there - wink wink.
ReplyDeleteBrian May plant LOL, that's hilarious!!! I love the amount of white on this card, and the Stitched Greenery background always adds gorgeous texture. The white stitched circle is perfect under your lovely plant in its galvanised tin pot. Beautiful card.
ReplyDeleteLol at 'Brian May' plant. I really like the use of the stitched circle, and also how you have extended the height of the plant. Great job!
ReplyDeleteTina your card is subtle and absolutely stunning. The Stitched Greenery die makes the perfect backdrop for your circular focal point and thin strip of Pear Pizzazz.
