Colour Creations: Daffodil Delight

 Hi!

Welcome to my blog for the new Colour Creations Blog Hop. This week it's Daffodil Delight's turn to shine - and shine it does! It's a lovely, bright, sunny yellow. It's a feature colour in the Light The Candles Kit, so that's what I decided to use for my card.

You might think, if you're familiar with the kit, that the striped paper isn't a part of the kit. It is! It's the envelope paper. The inside of the envelopes had gorgeous coordinating paper that sometimes likes to come out and play on the card, rather than be hidden away in the envelope. Today, I set it free, LOL!

The rest of the card was made up as per the kit. The sparkly paper behind the cake cut out is spectacular! What a shame that it was an overcast day today - the camera didn't really capture the gorgeous sparkle.

The inside of my card features another strip of paper from the envelope. You know me - I don't waste anything!

Please keep on hopping around all of the blogs tonight. There's a lot more Daffodil Delight inspiration to be seen, starting with my lovely friend, Dianne Furniss.

If you run into any problems with the links, please head on over to Cathy Proctor's blog. She does a fabulous job each week keeping us all organised.

Bye for now,

Tina

  1. Yes, Tina, let's all set the envelope paper free! Why would you hide away this stunning striped paper - it works so well with the rest of the card and really lifts the basic card kit to a whole new level.

  5. That was a bit tricky of you to use the envelope paper, Tina but better on the card than hidden in an envelope.
