Hi!
Hello - welcome to Coastal Cabana week! Can you tell that I'm excited? I like Coastal Cabana, it's such a gorgeous blue-green.
A relatively simple card for me tonight, as I was a little time poor this week. It's been a while since I've played with the Blossoms In Bloom bundle, so it was my first choice for the card. When I opened my dies, I found the Basic Black outline piece already cut, so that guided my card.
I always struggle a bit with sentiments when using the bundle. Making it look deliberate, and not plonked on the side can be tricky! I didn't want a label too big, as that would cover too much of the flowers. I think the Sweet As A Peach sentiment and Tailored Tag punch combo is a winner.
Just a little bit of the image was stamped on the inside of my card. I didn't want to take up too much writing space!
That's all from me for tonight, but please do continue your way around our Blog Hop. The next blog on your journey belongs to the very talented Michele Taylor.
As always, if you find a broken link you can view the full list of participants on Catherine Proctor’s blog.
Bye for now,
Tina
Nice way to showcase Coastal Cabana, Tina. I agree, the sentiment (and the scale of it) looks great. Very handy, that you found a black die cut to start off your project! This is a really pretty card. x
ReplyDeleteTina this is simple but stunning. The black and white really make the Coastal Cabana pop!
ReplyDeleteNow there's a stamp & die I don't have, LOL. Such a beautiful card, I think simple is best when the subject is so pretty. Black really emphasises the Coastal Cabana perfectly.
ReplyDeleteA striking card Tina. I love your use of the Blossoms in Bloom bundle and how wonderful to have the outline already cut in Black. I love it when you find something that saves you time when you are short of it and sends you in a great creative direction. Love your choice of sentiment & label to. Xxx
ReplyDeleteYes, I love it when you open a set and there is already some die cuts ready for you, BONUS! The sentiment looks great on that punch and this card has a real wow factor, even though it may have been a quicker card to make. Good job for a time poor week.
ReplyDeleteThe black die cut is very striking with the coastal cabana stamped image.
ReplyDeleteSimple it may well be but your card really packs a punch. It is so very striking Tina. The crisp white and contrasting black are perfect with Coastal Cabana.
ReplyDeleteA lovely card Tina. Very striking with the Basic Black.
