Hi!
Welcome to this week's CASEing The Catty Sunday Challenge Blog Hop. The blog before mine belongs to my lovely friend, Judy. She creates the most stunning cards every week! This week we are CASEing cards from the Everyday Occasions section of the catalogue. It's a ginormous section, so there is plenty of inspiration for everyone.
I didn't have to flick far through the section before I found the card I wanted to CASE. Actually, it was three cards, and you can see them on page 12, which just happens to be the first page of the section.
The cards I chose were the three at the top of this photo. I really loved how the Embossing Paste was applied to the card both on top of the DSP and the card base itself.
I started by adhering the See A Silhouette DSP to the front of my Seaside Spray card base. I then used my cloud mask and some Shimmery White Embossing Paste to add the moulds to the front. I love how it sort of , but not really, looks like a window, but the clouds are on the inside!
The sentiment is from a new to me stamp set, called Sweetly Swirled. The hand written font is pretty awesome, don't you think? It was a little tricky getting the Gold Thread to sit under the banner - I had to make sure that most of it hung over the top, not the bottom. A scattering of sequins finished off the front.
I was a bit stuck on how to finish off the inside for the longest time. As you can see, I ended up sponging a few clouds in Seaside Spray around the sentiment.
You have a huge 59 pages to scan this week for inspiration for our challenge. What fun! Which card will you choose to CASE? Don't forget to add your card to our Facebook group.
In the meantime though, don't forget to finish the hop! Next up is the lovely Monique's blog.
Bye for now,
Tina
Love the simplicity of your card and the inside too. Such an effective technique. Clever use of the DSP.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool technique embossing over both. Looks fabulous, and the inside is perfect.
ReplyDeleteI love how others point out things you didn’t even notice. The Embossing Paste over the DSP looks great.
ReplyDeleteLovely card Tina, the clouds look great on the DSP as well as on the card base.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea to put clouds on that DSP.Those masks are long forgotten in my craft drawer, Maybe I need to take a leaf out of your book and dust them off. Inside of the card sets it off to perfection.
ReplyDeleteThose clouds look great over the dsp, and I love how different the layout looks using stronger colours.
