Here I am, back with another card!
This week we have an Inspiration Challenge at Just Add Ink. Jan found the picture for us, and it's a different one - no flowers! It's a great one for a male card, or even a 'let's catch up for a cuppa' card. Does anyone send those? LOL
When I looked at the picture, I straight away thought of Text Ya Later and Coffee Break DSP, so using the KISS principle, that's what I used!
I really like the coffee ring pattern, but I'd been yet to find a reason to use it on a project. I thought that this one was perfect! I added some coffee pots and mugs, just to tie in the coffee mug in the Inspiration Photo.
I punched the circle from vellum, and then sponged around it with Early Espresso ink, just so that it kind of mimics the look of the coffee rings on the DSP.
I always laugh at this pair of sentiments, but I do acknowledge that not everyone would. The person I have in mind for this card would probably laugh too, so I'm sure they will be OK.
What will you create this week? The Design Team have made a stunning range of cards, as usual. You can see them over at Just Add Ink, where you can also link your card for the challenge.
Bye for now,
Tina
That background is so effective Tina. Great colours and design. xx
ReplyDeleteHi Tina,
ReplyDeletethat is a really fun card, I love how you didn't put the sentiment on the strip where I expected it, but in the speach bubbles. And I love the "typo" on the inside.
Hugs Ela
This would totally crack me up if I received it Tina. Love the sentiments on both the front and back. Fab design.
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous Tina! I so love that you were able to bring the coffee and phone elements together!! Your design is really clever too and I love how you've added your sentiment bubbles giving it a modern, geographic feel. xx
ReplyDeletePerfect images for this theme! The coffee ring paper is so cool and makes a perfect backdrop for the rest of your elements. It's been great being on the JAI team with you.
