Hi!
Welcome back to another week of the Colour Creations Creative Showcase. It's time to look at Pear Pizzazz. It's one of Stampin' Up!'s softer greens, sitting in the Subtles Colour Family.
I'm not entirely sure if I like the card I made this week, or if it's because I had to make it and send it straight away. Sadly, one of Hudson's schoolmates passed away after battling illness in intensive care for five weeks. His little body just couldn't fight anymore.
I've used two Sale-A-Bration sets: Heal Your Heart and A Touch Of Ink. I've kept the card very simple so that the message is the focus, just a bit of Pear Pizzazz ink applied over the stamped leaves using a Blending Brush.
Bye for now,
Tina
Oh Tina I don't know what to say because the card suddenly seems so irrelevant compared to the death of a child. I love this card so much but hate the reason you had to make and send it. I'm sure his parents will so appreciate your beautiful card - sending hugs xxx
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear about little Dylan, what a devastating loss for his family. Your card is beautiful. Pear Pizzazz is perfect for this kind of gentleness - I was going to use Pear Pizzazz with the blending brushes under my rose images today too, but found myself running short of time . . . beautiful card - so sorry for the occasion that you needed it for xox
ReplyDeleteThat is terribly sad news, Tina. The card you made is very beautiful; you've showcased Pear Pizzazz beautifully, and your design is very serene. x
ReplyDeleteOh that is so sad about Hudson's friend and I understand how difficult it must have been to create this card for the family. I actually really like that you stamped and inked the background before placing more of the leaves on top for dimension. It looks great!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear of the passing of Hudson's school mate. I think your card is perfect. I love the dimension you have created with the extra layers. Sending hugs xx
ReplyDeleteOh Tina, I am so very sorry to hear of your loss loss and the loss for Hudson of his school mate. Your card is perfect. These cards are the hardest to make and we make them when we are sad. I love what you have made I am sure they will feel your love. Sending you all extra hugs xx
ReplyDeleteOh, Tina. I'm so sorry to read the reason for making your lovely card. Here I am sharing a card I made for a new little life, and yours is for a little life ending - so very sad. xx
ReplyDeleteTina, your card is so so gorgeous. I love your sensitivity, blending and the layering of the leaves. I am sure your card helped to comfort the family. xxx
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful card for such a sad occasion. Sending my thoughts and love to the family at this sad time. your card has made me cry Tina.
ReplyDeleteYour card is perfect Tina. I love this stamp set and have used it heaps but the way you have blended over the leaves and around the card before layering your fussy cut leaves is just perfect. I DON'T fussy cut!!! No die, no cut......so I bow down before you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely card for such a sad occasion. Sorry to read that Hudson has lost a dear friend.
