Today some of the Art with Heart Stampin’ Up! team girls are sharing some fun and fabulous ideas to inspire you from our brand new Holiday Catalogue available now until 3rd January 2017. Be sure to request your copy of the catalogue today!
You have come to my blog from the very talented Ros Davidson. Blogs are full circles, so you can start hopping here and then at the end of each post is a link to the next. There is also a list of participants at the end in case of any broken links.
I have two cards for you today, both made using the new Jars Of Cheer stamp set from the Holiday Catalogue, as well as an old favourite, Embellished Ornaments.
My classic Christmas colour combination is Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White, and I stuck with it for these cards, with the addition of Crushed Curry for the flame of the candle.
I left the candle white, but I did add a layer of Clear Wink Of Stella to give it some shimmer. Sadly, it can't be seen in this photo.
I really love the holly branch in Embellished Ornaments to add some feature touches to the card, both inside and outside.
For the second version of the card, all I have really done it change the orientation of the card and the main panel. A small change that has a big effect, I think.
The candle was coloured the same way, but once again I failed to capture the Wink Of Stella glimmer. Oh well, you'll just have to imagine it!
Just for a change, I stamped a second candle on the inside rather than the holly branches. I think it suits the landscape card better than more holly.
Well, that's it from me! The next stop is my fellow South Australian, Kathryn Mangelsdorf. She creates some really amazing stuff, so pop on over there to check it out.

Great idea's of putting the candle in the jar for Christmas and I love the glimmer of the Wink of Stella.
ReplyDeleteLove the simplicity of these cards, but oh so effective!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute jar there Tina! Love the flow of the background stamping.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Tina, its great on how versatile this stamp set is xx
ReplyDeleteThese are gorgeous, Tina. I love the leaves behind the jar, as well as the candle in the jar. I think I might need to CASE this card.
ReplyDeleteLovely cards, Tina. The horizontal version is my favourite, showing more of the holly in the background.
