JAI #153: Just Add Colour

Hi!

Yes, it's Friday and the weeks are flying past at a rapid rate! We had a fabulous response to the Hearts challenge last week, which was amazing.  Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with this week with the colours Nikki chose for the new Just Add Ink challenge.

I thought the colours lent themselves well to a masculine card. I struggled a bit with ideas before deciding on a squares pattern.

I embossed some cardstock with the Stripes Embossing Folder and then punched them with the 1 inch square punch.  I cut a bit off the end of the card to fit the squares a bit better, so it's an odd sized card but better that than a weird bit on the end!

Hopefully you can see that I alternated the direction of the stripes. The Midnight Muse stripes go horizontally and the So Saffron stripes go vertically.

I kept the checkerboard type look going on the inside with my stamping.

So, what will you do with the colours? Head on over to the Just Add Ink blog to be inspired by the rest of the Design Team.

Stamps: Sassy Salutations, Clockworks, Topsy-Turvy Celebration
Ink: Midnight Muse, So Saffron
Cardstock: Midnight Muse, So Saffron, Whisper White
Other: Big Shot, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Stripes Embossing Folder, Whisper White Brads, Dimensionals

Bye for now,

Tina
