Just Add Ink #122: Just Add Delys

Hi!

Are you ready for another fabulous Just Add Ink challenge?  This week we are challenging you to CASE the fabulous Delys Cram.  It was hard to narrow it down to one project to CASE, but I finally managed to choose this layout to turn into a card. The clean, simple lines really appealed to me.  Here's my take on Delys.

I have used the papers from the Beau Chateau DSP pack.  I have been quite determined to feature the rooster on a card, and this seemed the perfect opportunity.  I fussy cut it and the flowers and placed them on the main panel, using Dimensionals on some parts.

I loved how the clean lines in Delys' layout were broken up by some Smooch Spritzing.  I've used some Shimmer Paint in Isocol to achieve a similar look.

More fussy cutting on the inside of the card!  I figured if I was going to feature the rooster on the outside I may as well use him again on the inside.

Stamps: Field Flowers, Happiest Birthday Wishes (hostess)
Ink: Soft Suede, Versamark
DSP/Cardstock: Beau Chateau DSP, Soft Suede, Pink Pirouette
Other: White Embossing Powder, Frost White Shimmer Paint/Isocol Mix, Corner Rounder Punch, Dimensionals, Paper Snips

I hope you can play along with us this week at Just Add Ink.

Bye for now,

Tina

  1. Tina I like how you have used a layout of Delys' to inspire the creation of your card. I must fussy cut more often as it adds great dimension.

  2. I really love how you were inspired by Delys' layout, Tina. This is a beautiful card, and I'm impressed you've incorporated the rooster not once, but twice - I had no idea what to do with the 'roostery bits' of paper in this pack!

  3. Wow! Lots of patience would have been required for all that fussy cutting, but well worth it. What a beautiful take on Delys' card.
