JAI #254 : Just Add Colour!

Hi!

This week at Just Add Ink we have put together a gorgeous colour combination to inspire your creativity.  The Design Team have put together a fabulous collection of gorgeous cards that you can see over on the blog.

Isn't it gorgeous? I love the combination of green and golden brown with the splash of orange.

I must say that I'm really thrilled with how this card came together.  I wanted to layer the Baked Brown Sugar base and matt, but they needed something to break it up a little.  The dry embossing frame worked a treat, and adds a bit of interest without shifting the eye from the main image.

I only used Tangelo Twist ink on the flower - I simply stamped it off to get the different shades.  The stem used the two shades of green in the colour combo.

If you know me, you know that I always 'do' the insides of my cards too.  Another Lotus Blossom finished it off perfectly!

What do you see in the colours? Make sure you share your creation with us over on the Just Add Ink blog.

Bye for now,

Tina

  4. Your so good doing the inside of your cards. I don't get round to that because it takes me so long to design the front!!! This is such a super stylish design and I love how you used the colours. That flower stamp is stunning and it really is the star of the card. Gorgeous!!
