Pun Fun New Baby

Hi!

When I became a Stampin' Up Independent Demonstrator recently I got to choose some new stamp sets for my starter kit. Pun Fun was one that I chose. I kind of regretted it as soon as I did because it wasn't one that I thought I'd ever use. Boy was I wrong - it's a great set and I've used it HEAPS! This week I used it on a card for Makeesha's Inkspirations Sketch Challenge #19.

I decided to make a new baby card using the very adorable hippo stamp.

The Hippo, bow tie and balloon are all paper pieced. I stamped the image onto the Whisper White Card Stock using Stazon ink, and then again onto Going Grey and Pink Pirouette card stock, cut out the bits I needed and stuck it all together. You could easily do the same in boy colours.

Card Stock: Whisper White, Going Grey, Pink Pirouette
Stamp Set: Pun Fun, Best Yet (hostess set)
Ink: Stazon, Pretty In Pink
Other: Pink Pirouette 1 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals, Pink Velvet Ribbon(non SU) and white brads (non SU)

The very lush Pink Pirouette Ribbon is in the current Summer Mini catalogue which finishes at the end of March. Contact me if you'd like to buy some!

Catch you later,

Tina

  1. What a pretty card Tina! I picked Pun Fun in my starter kit too. While I dont use it that much anymore, I used it to death in the beginning. I love how you did the little hippo, its my fav stamp in the set

  3. This is soooo cute! You must be a deft hand at cutting Tina, I tried a similar principle (multi stamp and cut in different colours) on the simple present stamp from SAB set and managed to screw that up royally! This works out so well!
