JAI #279: Just Add A Sketch

Hi!

Can you believe it's September already? I won't give a countdown until Christmas - that just seems too mean, as it's sneaking up on us ever so quickly!  Anyway, it's a sketch challenge this week at Just Add Ink, and this one was designed by Narelle.

It's an awesome sketch, with heaps of scope for interpretation.  I had fully intended to make a Christmas card, in fact I had the card planned out in my head. However, when I sat down to make it I found myself reaching for the very non-Christmassy Bohemian DSP.

Funny how things turn out like that sometimes!

I chose the 'I Think You're Great' stamp set based totally on the fact that it has this circular sentiment - I thought it was a great way to use the circular element in the sketch.  I added a couple of Crushed Curry Candy Dots to jazz it up a little.  The two strips were just scraps I had lying around that I thought worked really well with the sketch.

I got really stumped on what to do on the inside, so in the end I stamped the Way To Go stamp.  I think it's the first time I've used the stamp!

What do you see in the sketch?  Why don't you head on over to the Just Add Ink blog to see what the rest of the Design Team have created?

Bye for now,

Tina

  1. Your card is making me rethink that dsp. Most of the prints just confound me. Not sure why. Thanks for the push in reconsidering it's possibilities.

  3. Fabulous showcase of the Bohemian papers, Tina. Funny how things in our mind often come out completely differently on paper. x

  5. Great card Tina, and you're right - that sentiment goes perfectly in the circle. Love your choice of background DSP too :)
