Just Add Ink #138: Just Add Colour

Hi!

Here we are again with another Just Add Ink challenge.  This week Kim has challenged us to use the following colours in our projects.

Summer Starfruit seems to be one of those love/hate colours.  Which side of the spectrum are you on?  I'm moving ever closer to the love side after playing with this week's colours.  Here's the card I made for the challenge.

I inked up my Pleasant Poppies stamp for the first time.  It's such a gorgeous stamp.  I also used the new Basic Grey striped satin ribbon from the Holiday Catalogue.  I love that it's double sided - in this case I used the plain side.

I wanted to inject a bit of colour into the main panel so I stamped the poppies a second time onto Summer Starfruit cardstock, fussy cut them and popped them up on dimensionals.

I also used the stamp on the inside.  It's such an elegant stamp, perfect for colouring or using as a line image.

Stamps: Pleasant Poppies, For My Family, Happiest Birthday Wishes (retired hostess)
Ink: Basic Grey, Summer Starfruit
DSP/Cardstock: Basic Grey Patterns DSP, Basic Grey, Summer Starfruit, Whisper White
Other: Big Shot, Apothecary Accents Framelits, Basic Grey Striped Satin Ribbon, Modern Label Punch, Word Window Punch, Basic Jewels Rhinestones, Dimensionals, Paper Snips, Sponge Dauber

Why don't you give this colour combination a whirl?  You might surprise yourself like I did.  See you over at Just Add Ink.

Bye for now,

Tina

Just Add Ink #118: Just Add Mae

Hi!

This week at Just Add Ink we are challenging you to CASE the lovely Mae Collins.  Pop on over to her blog, find a card that inspires you and make a card based on it.  I chose this card of Mae's which I think is simply stunning.  Here's my version of it.

I don't own the stamps that Mae used so I substituted with Just Believe. I love the tone on tone effect f the stamped silhouetted flowers.

I kept the inside plain in terms of a sentiment.  I'm not sure how I'm going to use this card so I didn't know what sentiment to use.  I'll stamp something when I use the card. I think the card would work as either a thank you card or a congratulations.  What do you think?

Stamps: Just Believe
Ink: Basic Grey, Versamark
DSP/Cardstock: Basic Grey Patterns DSP, Whisper White, Basic Black
Other: White Embossing Powder, Heat Gun

Which card of Mae's will you choose to CASE?  Can't wait to see!

Bye for now,

Tina

Just Add Ink #114: Just Add Jodene

Hi!

Friday again - my favourite day of the week!  This week at Just Add Ink we are challenging you to CASE one of the Design Team again.  This time it's the very talented Jodene Tripp.  It was tough to pick just one of Jodene's cards to CASE, but I eventually chose this card of hers after quite a while feasting my eyes on the delights on Jodene's blog.

Here's my take on her card.

I had a little bit of fun making it using some new goodies that had arrived that day.  As usual I stamped the inside as well.

I hope you can play along with us again this week at Just Add Ink.  Which of Jodene's lovely cards will you choose to CASE?

Stamps: Field Flowers
Ink: Chocolate Chip
DSP/Cardstock: Neutrals Patterns DSP, Pretty In Pink, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Other: Big Shot, Perfect Pennants Bigz Die, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon, Rhinestone Brad, Dimensionals

Bye for now,

Tina

Just Add Ink #112" Just Add Colour

Hi!

I'm so sorry my post for the newest Just Add Ink challenge wasn't up on time this week.  I just got home from hospital where my little man Hudson had had his tonsils reduced.  They were massive and causing problems with his swallowing, so something had to be done.  In between returning from Paris and his operation, I totally forgot to write my post.  Anyway, here's the card.

I love using this stamp from Creative Elements to colour.  Oops, I'd better show you the colour combination this week, it's so lovely:

Finally, here's the inside of my card.  I stamped the flourish again and coloured it before adhering the section for writing over the top.

So there you have it!  I hope you can play along this week at Just Add Ink!

Stamps: Creative Elements, Clearly For You, Well Scripted (retired)
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette
DSP/Cardstock: Crumb Cake Patterns Stack DSP, Very Vanilla, Pink Pirouette
Other: Corner Rounder Punch, Vintage Brad, Chocolate Chip 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon

Bye for now,

Tina
