Memory Keeping With PLxSU: March

Hi!

Welcome back to another Memory Keeping With PLxSU Blog Hop.  The Design Team are a group of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from all around the world who love the combination of Project Life and Stampin' Up!  This month's theme is a commonly scrapped theme, which is made much easier and faster with the use of Project Life.  We are scrapping with a Travel theme this month!

Rob and I are not be travellers - our one and only overseas trip was to Paris 3 years ago.  We are unlikely to ever go on a trip like this again, but it's nice to dream sometimes! The top left photo was taken from the airplane window.  I love that it's above the clouds, and the title can have many different meanings.

I was originally going to write some pros and cons on this card, but in the end I decided that it worked better using the card to print the adventure definition onto.  It's one of the stamps from the Travel Log download in MDS that I simply resized to suit and printed on to the card.  Easy!

OK, so the above card from the Happiness Is Project Life Card Kit was a bit of a no-brainer to include on the layout!

The journalling is really the crux of this layout - if we ever get the chance to travel again do we go back to Paris and explore the city at a more leisurely pace and fall even more in love with Paris? Or do we go somewhere completely new and have a different adventure? Hopefully sometime in the future we will have to solve this dilemma, but until then we will keep dreaming!

You can see the other Design Team Travel themed layouts on their blogs.  For lots of PLxSU inspiration you can join our Facebook group.

Memory Keeping With PLxSU: February

Hi!

Today I have for you my layout for the monthly Memory Keeping With PLxSU Blog Hop.  We had a break during January but now we are back with a new theme.  What better theme for February than Love?

I chose some professional photos we'd had done last year to use on my page.  When we have professional photos done we often forget to have some photos of just Rob and I - we are usually focused on getting good pictures of the kids, or family shots.

I used cards from the Happiness Is PL Card Collection on my layout.  I couldn't find a filler card that was exactly what I wanted so I decided to modify one to suit.  I punched a 2 1/2 inch circle from Hello Honey cardstock, a What's Up? arrow from Blackberry Bliss and a Sweetheart from Whisper White.  I stamped the 'Life Is Good' from Remember This stamp set in Lost Lagoon ink on it first. I snipped the arrow in half so that it could be made to look longer.  So that it lined up correctly I drew a light line on the back of the heart and adhered the arrow halves so they lined up along the line.

So there you have it - my Love layout for February.  The rest of the Memory Keeping with PLxSU Design Team have created layouts for your inspiration too.  You can see their layouts on the links below.  We also have a FaceBook group where you can post your layouts, join in the chat and be inspired.

Memory Keeping With Stampin' Up! Project Life: Gratitude

Hi!

Today I have for you a 6x8 PLxSU layout that I completed for the new Gratitude challenge.  The Design Team for the Memory Keeping with Stampin' Up! Project Life Facebook group are challenging you to create a page about Gratitude.  What are you grateful for?

No, I'm not grateful for the tissue box in my car.  Actually, sometimes I am, but not for the purposes of this layout!

I used cards from the Happiness Is PL Card Collection. The journalling card was perfect for this challenge!

I saw this quote about a week or so ago on Facebook.  I took a screen cap of the quote and then recreated it for my page using another Happiness Is card and my Alphabet Rotary Stamp.

I hope you can play a,long with this challenge.  You can upload your layouts to the Facebook group here.

You can see the layouts that the rest of the Design Team have created by popping on over to their blogs.
