Moroccan Washi CAS CASE Card

Hi!

Phew, what a blog post title that is! Say that three times quickly - CAS CASE Card!!

Anyway, today's card is CASEd from this card by Bekka Prideaux. I found it during a search of washi tape cards on Google and instantly loved it.

I just love how it lets the Washi tape become the feature of the card

The twine adds a sweet little border between the Washi and the sentiment.

I added another little strip of Washi to the inside to complete the card.

Bye for now,

JAI #326: Just Add Project Life

Hi!

I hope you've had a fabulous week - I certainly did! I celebrated a birthday earlier in the week and was very spoiled! But enough about me - it's time for the new Just Add Ink challenge!

This week Rochelle has challenged us to Just Add Project Life. I do a lot of PLing, so creating a page sounded like fun. Strangely though, when I sat down to create I actually made a card!

The cute little 2 inch card came from the Hello Lovely PL Accessory Pack. I'm often a bit stumped on how to use the cards, but this pre-cut card was just screaming 'Shaker Card!', so I went with the flow! The Soft Sky sequins are also from the same pack.

It is really, really hard to see in the photos, but I also stamped the dandelion type stamp from the accessory pack on the front of the card - just a sprinkle of them from top left to bottom right. If you look closely you may be able to see one just below the shaker part of the card. They look gorgeous in real life.

The dandelions might be easier to see in the inside of the card - this time some in the top right and bottom left.

Project Life is so versatile - as you can see it's not just for scrapping. What will you create? Link your projects over at the Just Add Ink blog for us all to see!

Circle Of Spring Butterflies

Hi!

Do you sometimes forget about your old favourites in the rush of new products? I know I do! It's often worth Getting them out and looking at them with new eyes. In this case, I pulled out my Fringing Scissors.

The colour combo is Dapper Denim, Peekaboo Peach and Whisper White. Don't they look great together? I love the way the fringing adds a fun, flirty touch to the front of the card.

The Thick Baker's Twine is a great way to finish a card, and is very cost effective. Bonus!

I quite like this colour combo - I think it would make a great masculine card too. What do you think?

JAI #325: Just Add A Sketch

Hi!

We have just had the most lovely few days of sunshiny, warm weather - so very untypical for winter, but also very welcome! Sadly, it's back to more winter-like weather tonight and over the weekend. Oh well, great stamping weather!

http://just-add-ink.blogspot.com/2016/08/just-add-ink-325sketch.html

This week at Just Add Ink we have a sketch challenge for you, and it's one designed by me. I've done a few tricky ones lately, so I went super simple for this one!

What do you think? Plenty of room for interpretation in this one? I think so! My first (little) preorder for the Holiday Catalogue arrived this week, so I took the opportunity to have a play.

Can you spy a few new goodies in this one? There's not much 'old' stuff at all! How sweet is the new Candy Cane Lane DSP, with the Christmas Tree shaped confetti?

Here's a closer look at the cute new Cookie Cutter bundle. It's soooo adorable! I could just munch that gingerbread man.

Of course, he made a repeat appearance on the inside of my card.

I hope you play along with us this week at Just Add Ink. The Design Team had a lot of fun with this sketch, and I'm sure you will too!

JAI #234: Just Add Inspiration

Hi!

Woo Hoo! It's Friday, which means it's nearly the weekend. I'm super excited about this weekend, because I had my new freezer delivered and Rob and I will finally have time to get it unboxed and set up. I've been wanting an upright freezer for ages, and I just can't wait to fill it up.

http://just-add-ink.blogspot.com.au/

Of course, Friday also means it's Just Add Ink's new challenge day, another reason to be excited! This week Trish has chosen a gorgeous Inspiration photo for us to use.

Don't those flowers look beautiful? I feel like running though the grass, trailing my fingers through them as I go. Or maybe lie down among them and look for shapes in the clouds.... Before I get too carried away, I'd best get to my card!

I went fairly literal for the background of my card, with the wood grain and clouds on top, and the line stamp from Gorgeous Grunge to simulate the grass on the bottom. I added the lace ribbon, as it was sitting on my desk and I think it goes with the country theme of the card. Same goes for the Linen Thread over the top.

I finally cracked open my Jar Of Love stamps and Framelits. They are so sweet - I really love the look of the flowers. I must have had a little moment and forgot that the flowers in the pic were purple, not yellow. Oh well, I still think they look great!

I stamped and cut a heap of flowers, as I wasn't sure how many I'd use for the front. Lucky I had some left over to use on the inside!

What do you see in the Inspiration photo? You can see how it inspired the rest of the Design Team over on the Just Add Ink Blog, where you can join in the fun with your interpretation.

Some Fancy Folding

Hi!

Today I have a Fancy Fold card for you. I'm not sure what it's called - triangle pocket card maybe? Whatever it's called, it's a very easy fold that looks fabulous.

Doesn't it look great? The most difficult part was working out how to cut the DSP, but even that was relatively easy. You simply cut a sheet of A4 cardstock in half longways and then score diagonally. Fold along the score, and then fold the whole lot in half, so that the on the bottom of both the front and inside you end up with a triangular pocket. Decorate, and you're done!

I found it better to make two cards at once, as the DSP panels are rectangles cut in half. I don't tend to use triangle shaped DSP on my cards, so by making two I wasn't wasting any DSP. I used the Blooms and Bliss DSP on this card.

The inside of the card has a little pocket, which is the perfect spot to pop a gift card for the recipient. Why don't you give this Fancy Fold a go - it really is very easy!

JAI #323: Just Add F

Hi!

Are you ready for the new Just Add Ink challenge?

http://just-add-ink.blogspot.com.au/2016/08/just-add-ink-323-just-add-f.html

This week I set the challenge, and it's another of our alphabet challenges. This week we are asking you to add F to your card. It can be anything to do with F - feathers, Flirty Flamingo, or even frills.

I just went for one F this week, as I used the Flourishes Thinlits on my card. The colours I used are Night Of Navy and Emerald Envy. The navy didn't photograph very well - the colour combo is stunning in real life.

This card came about after I made a thank you tag to go on some customer orders. I used the smaller flourish on the tag and when I looked at it I thought it might make a good card. I'd like to thing that I was right!

What F things will you put on your card? You can see what the Just Add Ink team have created over on the blog. Can't wait to see what you create!

Bye for now,

Tina
